Sam joined the Initiative for Digital Engineering and Life Sciences (IDEALS) as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Real Estate in 2021, prior the acquisition of the historic Burnam and Morrill Baked Bean Factory site, to lead the development effort through rezoning and entitlements. After entitlements were completed in the summer of 2024 IDEALS gifted the site and all work completed to date to Northeastern University, and SwingPoint was established at that time to continue as Owners Project Manager on behalf of the University. SwingPoint has grown and strengthened its team by bringing Terva Corporation on, and together they have managed all aspects of the project to date. The project is scheduled for completion in late 2027.
