SAM REICHE
Principal
Sam founded SwingPoint Development in 2024 to manage real estate development and investment work in and around Maine.
Prior to starting SwingPoint, Sam Reiche was Chief Operating Officer and Head of Real Estate for IDEALS, a non-profit founded by the Roux family to initiate the development of the Roux Campus, and before that was a partner at Leggat McCall Properties in Boston. Sam has managed nearly three million SF of construction and development projects and has also pursued a variety of entrepreneurial real estate ventures throughout his career.
Sam graduated from Trinity College in 2007, where he was on the national championship rowing team, and later received a Masters in Real Estate Development from MIT.
Sam is a lifelong Mainer who lives in Freeport with his wife, Caitlin, and three young children. He has a deep passion for the ocean and enjoys spending time on and around Casco Bay with his family, fishing, sailing, camping, and exploring. He serves on the Board for the Maine Island Trail Association and is on the Real Estate Committee for the Gulf of Maine Research Institute.
Michael Cochrane
Senior Project Manager
Michael hails from midcoast Maine and brings over a decade of experience in construction and project management to the firm. Prior to joining SwingPoint, Michael spent eight years in construction management and two years in project development, working on a variety of jobs in the institutional, retail, commercial manufacturing, and utility infrastructure spaces in New England and beyond.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Maine and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Clarkson University. He is a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) and Engineer in Training (EIT).
Now based in Freeport with his family, Michael enjoys staying active through hiking, cycling, and volleyball, exploring the outdoors, traveling, and taking on DIY home projects.
